一、个人简介

胡奇(1983-),陕西省府谷县人。20022008年就读于北京大学医学部药学院,先后获得药学学士和药物化学硕士学位;2014年毕业于清华大学生命学院,获生物学博士学位;2015年至今,在加州大学旧金山分校Kevan Shokat教授实验室进行博士后研究,得到Damon Runyon癌症研究基金会博士后奖学金支持。已于2019年加入西湖大学任研究员。主要研究细胞信号转导的分子机理,以第一作者或通讯作者身份在CellNaturePNASCell Research等期刊发表多篇研究文章。


二、研究方向

本实验室将主要研究蛋白质的棕榈酰化(palmitoylation)。棕榈酰化属于蛋白质脂化修饰的一种,在调节蛋白质功能中起重要作用。棕榈酰化通过硫酯键将棕榈酰基与半胱氨酸的巯基连接。由于硫脂键的不稳定性,该修饰高度可逆,参与了对细胞内许多信号通路的动态调控。半胱氨酸棕榈酰化由棕榈酰转移酶催化。这类酶催化结构域含有一段保守的氨基酸序列DHHC(天冬氨酸-组氨酸-组氨酸-半胱氨酸),因此也称DHHC酶。已知人体中有23DHHC酶,催化近1000种蛋白质的棕榈酰化。本实验室将结合生物学和化学手段,研究棕榈酰化对蛋白质功能的影响、DHHC酶的底物选择性和调控机制,并在此基础上开发DHHC酶的选择性小分子抑制剂。
